Obituary for Nannie Black Nannie Black, age 97, of Springfield, Tennessee, died Saturday, April 21, 2018 at NHC Healthcare in Springfield. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock pm, on Tuesday, April 24th at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Bro. Carl Freudenthal officiating.

Entombment will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with her nephews serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday beginning at 1:00PM until the hour of service at 2:00PM. Mrs. Black was born on January 19, 1921 in the Coopertown community to the late Willie and Ada Browning Lee.

She was a homemaker and a member of Flewellyn Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Leonard Black; son, Jerry Black; and brothers, David Lee, William “Bob” Lee, and Edward Earl “Bub” Lee. She is survived by her sisters, Louise Murphy and Betty Jean Lehenbauer, both of Franklin, TN; a host of loving nieces & nephews.
