Obituary for Natalie “Tillie” Jursinski Natalie “Tillie” Jursinski (nee Carson), age 97, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at her residence following a lengthy illness. Born May 10, 1921 in Lorain, she attended Lorain City Schools. Tillie worked at Thomas Food Shop and Smith & Gerhart Department Store.

Tillie and her late husband Frank owned and operated Jay’s Market, Jay’s Sparkle Market and Jay’s Laundromat all in Lorain. Before moving to Florida in 1973, Tillie worked as a supervisor in the cafeteria at St. Peter School. She was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Lorain and St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Boca Raton.

Tillie had served as president of K of C Guild and Spring Valley Women’s Association and was a member of AARP Chapter 3465, Tam O’Shanter Golf Club, and Lighthouse Point Yacht Club. She volunteered over 25 years in communications for the Professional Golf Association, Seniors Golf Association, Ladies Professional Golf Association and served as past tournament chairman for the Greater Cleveland Women’s Golf Association. Surviving are her sons, Kenneth of Pensacola, Florida and Kevin of Ft.

Myers, Florida, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Frank “Jay” Jursinski in 1990; parents, Walter and Pauline (nee Czup) Carson; brothers, Peter, Victor, Myron and John Carson; and sisters, Ann (Maleski), Josephine (Aron), Marie (Stevens) and Antoinette (Leonard). The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be Thursday at 9:30 am followed by mass at 10:00 am at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 418 W. 15th Street, Lorain.

Rev. Robert Glepko, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
