Bennettsville, SC. Mr. Nathan Francis Boan, 76, passed away September 6, 2018 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital. Born October 25, 1941 in Wallace, SC, he was a son of the late Curtis L. & Geneva Walters Boan.

Nathan was devoted to his family, career and most importantly, relationship with Christ. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and sang with The Singing Couriers for 30 years. He retired from the Pepsi Bottling Company after 48 years of service.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: wife of 57 years, Nella Crowley Boan of the home; sons, Jeff Boan & wife Amy, Gregg Boan and wife Mary all of Bennettsville; daughter, Joy Rankin & husband Mike of Laurinburg; brother, Douglas Boan of Hamlet; grandchildren, Alexa Boan, Wimberly Boan, Bradford Boan, Avery Boan, Lillie Rankin & Rylie Rankin. Nathan was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Burroughs Funeral Home followed by burial in Sunset Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to: Marlboro Rescue, PO Box 123, Bennettsville, SC 29512. Burroughs Funeral Home is honored to serve the Boan family.
