Bennettsville, Mrs. Carolyn Lance Gardner, widow of the late Charles Jackie Gardner, Sr., passed away Monday, November 12, 2018, at her residence after an illness. She was 71. Born in Atlanta, Ga.

on July 13, 1947 to Mrs. Juanita Riley Lance Jones and the late Howard Lance. She was a Retired Nurse. She enjoyed fishing and traveling.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory; daughter, Cayce Gardner Wiggins (John) of Bennettsville; mother, Juanita Riley Jones (Houston) of Bennettsville, SC; brothers, John Lance of Marietta, Ga. ; sister, Terry Webster (Mitch) of Bennettsville, SC; grandchildren, Johnathan Wiggins and Garrett Wiggins; and 2 special caregivers, Debbie Thompson and Janice James. She is preceded in death by her father listed above, a husband Charles Jackie Gardner, Sr. and a son Charles “Chuck” Jackie Gardner, Jr. A funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday, November 16, 2018 at Burroughs Funeral Home, with burial at Sunset Memorial Park, officiated by Rev.

Denny Costner. A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to: Hospice of South Carolina, 1039 Cheraw Hwy.
