Obituary for Nathyn John William Barton Nathyn John William Barton, 26, passed away on July 9, 2018 in South Jordan, Utah. Nathyn was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 4, 1992 to David and Katie Barton. Nathyn spent the majority of his childhood in Tooele, Utah, where he loved to torment his sisters and hang out with all of his cousins and friends.

He attended Weber Basin Job Corps where he earned his GED and earned his professional welder’s certification. While at Job Corps, Nate became red-card certified for fire-fighting, earned student of the month, was dorm leader the entire time he attended the campus, and earned an award for being the hardest worker in his trade. He also got the award for class clown, as to be expected.

He eventually found a career as an HVAC technician. There was no job that he couldn’t do after only watching for a few hours. He was so smart and was willing to share his knowledge with anyone who would listen.

He made his entire family so proud of him. Nate loved anything outdoors, especially fishing. Our favorite memories will always include him doing what he loved; shooting clays, hiking, exploring all the places he knew he shouldn’t go, fishing, camping (especially in Hickman), drive-in movies with his fiancée, and playing with his dog Minnie.

Nate always had an answer to a problem, regardless of what it was about or if you wanted an answer at all. He had a joke for everything and would tell it whether it was an appropriate time or not. He loved his family and friends unconditionally and would give the shirt off his back for anyone who needed it.

Words cannot express how much love his family and friends have for him. We will miss everything about him, from his infectious laugh, to his goofy grin, random dance-offs with his friends and the way he would lip-sync or change the words to any song just to make people laugh. We will miss how gentle and kind he was to his nieces, nephews, god-son, and any other child who would call him “Uncle Nate”.

We love you, Boy. Nathyn is survived by his parents, David (Luana) Barton and Katie Barton; fiancée, Autumn Cuneo; siblings, Tyler Menne, Tabatha (Christian Maynard) Barton, Cortny (Todd Perry) Barton, Lacey (Mike) Jackman, Josh (Amy) Sandoval; grandmother, Frances Gamboa; and his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close personal friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Tooele Elk Lodge, 61 N Main St, Tooele, UT, on July 15, 2018 from 10am-3pm.

Friends and family are welcome to come and pay their respects at any point during this time. Food and beverages will be served. Come as yourself, as Nate would have wanted.

A special thanks to Wasatch Heating and Air, and Adam Richardson with Serenity Funeral Home for their compassion and delicate care of our beloved son, fiancée, brother, uncle, and friend.
