Obituary for Nancy Lee Shepherd Henderson Nancy Lee Shepherd Henderson Nancy, our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt passed away on Friday September 21, 2018 in her home. Nancy was born on November 20, 1943 to Elva Case Shepherd and Joseph Chester Shepherd, she was the eldest of 5 children. Nancy was very independent and raised her five children on her own.

She had a beautiful smile. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Nancy loved sewing, tole painting and doing crafts.

Her favorite place to shop was Big Lots, she could never pass up a good deal. In her youth, Nancy enjoyed camping with her family. She looked forward to fresh vegetables from her son Chris’s garden and enjoyed the fresh cut roses from her Rose Garden that her son David planted for her.

Nancy lost part of her spirit when her son Dave died in 1995. One of her greatest accomplishments as the coordinator of the Salt Lake County Summer Youth Program, was to receive national recognition for her role in the “Restoration of the Storm Mountain Amphitheater” in 1991/1992. Nancy is survived by her children, whom she loved very much, Ronald (Debbie) Tucker, Denise (Dan) Lawrence, Tamera (Don) Bradshaw, and Christopher Tucker.

Along with 11 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren. Her brother Joseph Rudy Shepherd (Margie) and Sisters Marsha Shepherd Evans, and Karen Shepherd. She is preceded in death by her Son David Ray Tucker, Brother Don C Shepherd, Mother Elva Case Shepherd, and her Father Joseph Chester Shepherd.

A Special thanks to Dr. Vanessa Galli and Intermountain Homecare and Hospice for the excellent care that was provided to Nancy during her illness. A graveside service will be held at the Larkin Sunset Garden’s 1950 East Dimple Dell Road 10600 South, Sandy Utah 84092 at 1:00 pm on Saturday September 29, 2018.
