Obituary for Danielle Heiner Madsen On the evening of Thursday, September 13, 2018, Danielle Heiner Madsen passed away surrounded by loved ones in her home in Lehi, UT, after a 16-month battle with brain cancer. Her passing was painless and peaceful. Danielle was 40 years-old.
Danielle was born on November 21, 1977 in Wichita, KS to David and Christine (Sevy) Heiner. She was raised in Price, UT, alongside her 5 siblings and heroes, Brittney Smith, Cody Heiner, Kelsey Jorgensen, McKenzie Long, and Blake Heiner. Danielle was nurtured in a loving home, where she developed a focus on serving others, and bringing a smile to the face of anyone she met.
Danielle mastered these qualities. Danielle graduated from Carbon High School with honors, in the Class of 1996. She then attended Utah State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design in 2003, graduating at the top of her class.
She met her husband, Christian Peter Madsen, while attending Utah State. They were both smitten with each other at first site and were sealed for time and eternity in the Logan, UT Temple. Danielle and Christian have three beautiful children, Isaac Christian (20), Lucas Kent (14), and Noelle Christine (11), and are excited to welcome another daughter, Peyton Munson (19), as she is sealed to Isaac and their family in the coming days.
Danielle’s solution to all of life’s obstacles was family. Her greatest cause for celebration was family. Her biggest motivation to do more in life was family.
She included everyone in her family. Danielle gained her devotion to her family through following the examples and teachings of Jesus Christ. She followed Him daily and trusted the paths He led her down.
Undeterred, she accepted her diagnosis of terminal cancer as an opportunity to provide hope in the miracle of Christ’s resurrection and atonement. The difficult circumstances of life were not enough to dim Danielle’s faith in Christ. She remained true and constant in her commitments to her Father in Heaven.
Danielle had exceptional talents in designing homes, home improvements, landscape design, woodworking, organizing, drawing, painting, cheering at her children’s games and dance performances, embracing her family’s love of sports, and loving her 14 nieces, 15 nephews, 7 brother’s in-law, 5 sister’s in-law, and her second set of parents, Howard Kent and Gail Madsen.
