Ned R. Locke, 69, of Newport, passed away Monday, February 18, 2019 at Pruitt Health-Trent. His memorial service with military honors will be held 10:00 am Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Munden Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Ray Conner.

Ned retired from the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the VFW- Newport Lodge and the Old Man’s Club at Gils’ Market. He is survived by his wife, Sharon N. Locke of the home; daughters, Tara E. Locke-Gummere and husband, Robert of Barre, VT and Andrea Watt and husband, Travis of Ft.

Edward, NY; son, Zachary C. Locke and companion, Ashley-Marie Hudgins of Havelock; sister, Nancy Knickerbocker and husband Billy of White Creek, NY;step-son, Daniel Davis of Havelock; and grandchildren, Nolan Sheplar, Dalton Witt, Mason Locke and Donovan Gummere. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS (DAV) CHARITABLE SERVICE TRUST, 3725 Alexandria Pike Cold Spring, KY 41076. The family will receive friends following the service at Munden Funeral Home.
