Neil Cockerham, 79, of Letona just outside Searcy, passed away September 10, 2018 at Unity Health in Searcy. He was born July 21, 1939 at Seymour, Indiana to the late Herbert and Anna Wetzel Cockerham. Mr. Cockerham was a veteran of the Marine Corps, having served three years.

He was a true gentleman who loved his family first and foremost; he also enjoyed good music, particularly gospel and country music. He also enjoyed gardening in his past time. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Dale, Jack, Kirbie, and Lannie Cockerham; two sisters, Pam and Marada Cockerham.

He married Jan Rollins Cockerham June 18, 1961 at Fairmount, Indiana; she survives. He is also survived by one daughter, Deborah Cockerham of Searcy; two sisters, Kay Baker of Seymour, Indiana and Sue Campbell of Brownstown, Indiana; one brother, Randy Cockerham (Cindy) of Seymour, Indiana; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will announce a memorial service at a later date.
