Nelle’s Obituary Myra Nelle Leek, 90, a long-time resident of Dumas, Arkansas passed away January 18, 2019 in Pine Buff, Arkansas. Born January 28, 1928 in Pottsville, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late, James E. and Ethel M. Rackley King. Her parents, ex-husband, Adrian Leek, a son, Richard “Rick” Leek and daughter, Deborah E. Leek all preceded her in death.

Nelle was a member of the First United Methodist Church, she had been employed by Sunbeam from 1966-1983, working several years for Hussmann and served as a group leader for 20 years at Jodie Partridge Center. Nelle loved to raise flowers and a garden, canning vegetables from her garden and taught her daughter and grandchildren to put up corn. Survivors are her daughter, Linda McDannald and her husband, Ron of Irving, Texas, one sister, Annie Bell Page of Conway, Arkansas grand daughter, Stephanie McDannald of Irving, Texas, and three great grandchildren, Michael, Annabella and Alyssa Bounds.

Visitation held 4-6 PM, Monday, January 21, 2019 at Griffin Funeral Home. Funeral services to be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, Griffin Funeral Home with Dr. Tandy Hanson officiating and burial following in Jefferson Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Jodie Partridge Center, P.O. Box 643, Dumas, Arkansas 71639.
