Nettie Merlo, 98, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018. She was a life resident of Barberton. Nettie was a former Co-Owner of Whitehouse Chicken and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Merlo; daughter, Patricia Merlo Antal; brothers, Milan Pavkov and Alvin Pavkov; sisters, Olga Moralle, Dorothy Flaker, Mae Sokolesky and Velma Kern. Nettie is survived by her son, James (Debi) Merlo; grandchildren, Jimmy (Erica) Merlo and Jaime Merlo; great-grandchildren, Landon, Noah and Alexis Merlo; best friends, Genny Karder and Martha Toyaga; numerous nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends. Nettie’s funeral service will be held Friday 10 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave.

, Barberton 44203 with Fr. David Majikas officiating. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Summa Hospice.
