Obituary for Nina Lou Blackwelder (Blackwelder) Mrs. Nina Lou Blackwelder, 82, of Concord, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 4, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, January 7, 2019 in Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Flack officiating.
Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. After earning her nursing degree, she worked as a registered nurse in the hospital and later as a home health nurse. Nursing was truly her passion and her love of helping people carried through in every aspect of her life.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James “Bugsy” Blackwelder, and brother, Gene Porter. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Louanne Kindley; step-daughter, Janet Poteat; grandchildren, Megan Efird and Jason Barnhardt; great-grandchildren, Maggie Efird and James Barnhardt; sisters-in-law, Kaleen Shaver, Susie Moore, and Dianne Parker; and brother-in-law, Terry Blackwelder.
