His parents were George Cleveland Shue Sr. and Ossie Scott Shue. He was a veteran of the US Navy and a retired painter. He is survived by his wife, Mary Byers Shue; daughters, Kellie Ellis(Shawn) and Belinda Causey; sons, Mark Shue(Jennifer) and Scott Shue; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
