Obituary for Frances Ann McEachern (Hatley) Mrs. Frances Ann Hatley McEachern, 84, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Atrium Health-Northeast, surrounded by her family. A funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev.

Carrie Bishop, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church Frances was born on July 24, 1934 in Concord to the late James Buford Hatley and Mildred Ridenhour Hatley. She is also preceded by her husband, Franklin Harvey “Mac” McEachern.

Frances was a longtime member of Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church where she was a member of the WELCA circle and the quilting group. Frances enjoyed her family, taking care of her children and her grandchildren.

In addition to making quilts for Hospice, she enjoyed reading, painting and sewing. She also enjoyed needlework with several framed pieces located in the Church. Frances volunteered and supported many youth activities while her children were growing up and also her grandchildren.

Frances was most proud of her title as mother and grandmother and enjoyed every second she could spend with family. She is survived by her daughters, Ann Marie Barrier and husband Philip of Concord, Patricia Gail McEachern of Concord; sister, Laura Hatley Cline and husband Gene of Chattanooga, TN; brother, J.B. Hatley and wife Barbara of Concord; grandchildren, Cara Ann Barrier Hancock and husband Jody, Amanda Caroline Barrier; great-grandson, Xander Cash Hancock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt.
