Obituary of Nolan Auman, Sr. Nolan Allen Auman, Sr. age 102, of Asheboro went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Cross Road Retirement Community in Asheboro. Mr. Auman was born in Randolph County on November 23, 1916 to Calvin and Minnie Ellis King Auman. Nolan served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.

He was formerly employed with Acme-McCrary and retired from Klopman Mills. Nolan was the epitome of a Christian and was faithful to his church, Fayetteville Street Baptist Church, and to his family. In addition to his parents, Nolan was preceded in death by his wife, Mozelle Bates Auman, his son, Nolan “Sonny” Auman, Jr., his brothers, Lester Auman and Wade Auman, and his sisters, Ossie Cornelison and Lula Skeen.

He was a loving, humble, caring, and giving man who enjoyed flower gardening. Nolan was a caring husband and father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather. He is survived by his daughters, Doris Faye Allred and husband June of Asheboro and Teresa Miller and husband Wayne of Asheboro; son, Jerry Wayne Auman of Asheboro; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Community Home Care & Hospice and to his caretakers at Cross Road Assisted Living. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 10:00-11:15 am at Fayetteville Street Baptist Church, 901 North Fayetteville Street in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 11:30 am at Fayetteville Street Baptist Church with Rev.

Randy Browder, Rev. Gary Mason, and Rev. Bernie Raymond officiating.

Burial will be held in Randolph Memorial Park with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to Fayetteville Street Baptist Church, 901 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, NC 27203 or Cross Road Retirement Community, 1302 Old Cox Rd. , Asheboro, NC 27205 or Community Home Care & Hospice, 533 S. Fayetteville St., Asheboro, NC 27203.
