Obituary of Virginia Jones Virginia Lee Jennings Jones, age 83, of Asheboro passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Jones was born in Randolph County on September 17, 1935 to Samuel and Etta Mae Talbert Jennings. She was formerly employed in the textile industry.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Jones, daughter, E. Bernice Jones, sons, Terry G. Jones and William T. Jones, 1 sister, and 3 brothers. Virginia loved her grandchildren and her cat Tom. She loved collecting what-nots, windchimes, and trinkets.

Virginia enjoyed shopping, listening to Bluegrass Gospel music, and watching movies. She is survived by her sons, Quincey Jones and wife Sharon, Billy Jones and wife Judy, and Rickey Jones and wife Melissa all of Asheboro; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and brother, Stafford Jennings of Archdale. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 1:00-2:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro.

A graveside service will follow on Sunday at 3:00 pm at the Cedar Falls Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Virginia’s honor to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009.
