Mrs. Norma’s Obituary Norma Godoy Clarich joined her heavenly family on Sunday, December 30, 2018. As she peacefully passed in prayer, she was surrounded by her loving family shepherded by son-in-law, Deacon Amando Leal. Norma was born on August 18, 1940 in Corpus Christi, Texas and spent most of her life in the beautiful ‘Sparkling City by the Sea.

’ A proud Roy Miller Buccaneer, Norma married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Simon Alexander Clarich, and, known to all who knew her, shared an undying and fierce love for her family, especially her five daughters. Her favorite line was “I’m in heaven whenever I’m around my girls”. A proud retiree of the U.S. Postal Service of 25 years, Norma loved spending time with her daughters and entire family.

She had a passion for travelling and visited many places around the world: Rome, Hawaii, Mexico City, Puerto Rico, British Columbia, Bahamas, and within the U.S: New York, Arizona, South Dakota, Illinois, California, Washington, Florida, Tennessee, New England States, and Washington, D.C. area. Her last trip this past September was to see “J-Lo” in Las Vegas with daughters and granddaughters. She was blessed with lifelong friends who knew these wonderful things about her: how she loved going to lunch with her friends to her favorite Chinese restaurant, loved hearing any Elvis Presley song on the radio, and how she was addicted to her Mexican novelas.

Most endearingly, she found joy listening to her husband serenade her while surrounded by her loving family. Survivors include her husband, Simon Alexander Clarich; five daughters, Cynthia Clarich, Casilda Clarich, Criselda Clarich Leal and son-in-law, Amando Leal, Cinia Clarich Montoya, and Cassandra Clarich. She had a very special relationship with her two brothers; Ricardo A. Godoy and his wife Viola, and Ernesto Godoy (deceased) and his wife, Bea.

Blessed with a large family and fourteen grandchildren, “Momo” will be missed by: Celina Polanco, Natalie Villarreal, Yvette Polanco, Jason Fien, Marcus Fien, Christopher Llewellyn, Alexander Llewellyn, Cristina Clarich Llewellyn, Candace Leal Hanson (Erik), Claudia Leal, Daniel Montoya, Gabriela Montoya, Krista Clarich Samaniego, and Simon Clarich Samaniego; and her great-grandchildren: Sofia Hanson, Hektor Hanson, Camila Hanson, Annalisa Hanson, and Derek Montoya. Pallbearers will be her six grandsons, and honorary pallbearers will be her three nephews: Ernest Godoy, Jr., Ricardo Godoy, and Marco Godoy. She will be missed by those who loved her, but they will find solace knowing she is at peace in the eternal life with our loving Savior.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Aurora Aleman Godoy; father, Ricardo Godoy; and brother Ernesto (Neto) Godoy. Simon Clarich, her beloved husband, wants the world to know. “She is the most loved woman in the whole world”.
