Obituary for Norma L. John Norma L. John, 73, of Columbus passed away on November 1, 2018. Born to Alredo Spruve and Helena Smith in Tortola, Virgin Islands. Norma graduated from Charlotte Amalie High School in 1965 and retired as a sergeant in the police force in 1994.

During her retirement Norma enjoyed traveling, especially if it involved taking a cruise. She loved to spend time with her family and do gardening as well. Norma is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Oilvia and Joyce.

Lovingly survived by her daughters, Denise Daniel-Keith and Deanne Davis; grandchildren, Kelo Thomas III, Kadijah Tobias, Kendra Thomas, Jaye Joseph and Kai Daniel; great grandchildren, Jayde Asia Joseph and Ke’Aizha RaMaijah Thomas, also many nieces, nephews and her special friends, Rosemary Fleming, Jacklyn Chesterfield and Gloria Garrison. Family and friends will gather on Tuesday November 13, 2018 at 3030 W. Broad St. Columbus, Oh 43204 from 9:30 a.m.-10 a.m. with a service to follow at 10 a.m. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Norma L. John please visit our Sympathy Store.
