Norma L. Wheatley, nee Gegel, 77, of Waterloo, IL, died June 28, 2018, in Waterloo, IL. She was born October 18, 1940, in Baldwin, IL. She is survived by her husband Tom Wheatley; children Craig (Nancy) Wheatley & Todd (Elizabeth) Wheatley; step grandsons Marcus & Juan; brother Kenneth Gegel; sister-in-law; aunt; uncle; nieces; nephews; & cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents Otto and Anna (nee Guebert) Gegel. Norma worked in the banking business for 20 years, she became a teller services officer at Jasper County Bank in Newton, IA. She was previously a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church – Newton, IA; taught Bible school and Sunday school for youth; member of Ladys group; member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church – West Des Moines, IA, Grace Lutheran – Holiday Island, AR, and recently Immanuel Lutheran – Waterloo, IL; and an active maker of quilts and afghans over the years.
