Norma S. Horn, 80, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away Saturday July 14, 2018. Norma was born on November 28, 1937 to the late Christian J. Zimmer, and Pauline (Steidinger) Baker. She was a lifelong resident of South Bend/Mishawaka area.

Norma worked at the South Bend Clinic as a Medical Assistant for 33 years, and retired in 2004. Norma loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were truly her life.

She was known for her homemade pickles and macaroni salad. In the fall Roger and Norma enjoyed watching Notre Dame football games. Norma was united in marriage to Roger Horn on September 8, 1990, who survives.

She is survived by her daughter Sheila (Kim) Fridley of Wrightwood, CA; son Scott (Rosie) Balha of Westley Chapel, FL; stepdaughter Tammy (David) Wright of Lewisburg, TN; grandchildren, Mandi Nelson, Hailey ( Tim) Cohenour, Rachel ( Jon) Leonard, Steven Spratt, Alexis Wright, Enith (Chad) Calcagno and Julie Flores; her great grandchildren Kaelyn, Maddox, Haliey and Camilla ; her step brother Jim (Mary Ann ) Baker of Plymouth, stepsister Judy Hite of South Bend, IN and sister in law Barbara Zimmer of Georgetown, KY. Norma was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather Orville Baker her sister Mary Lou Vorheis, her brothers Larry Zimmer and Neil Zimmer. Celebration of Life memorial service for Norma will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 1:00pm, friends may gather with the family two hours before services at Palmer Funeral Home River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, IN 46615.

Memorial contributions can be given to Center for Hospice, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545, and to Trinity Evangelical Free Church, 61770 Miami Road, South Bend, IN 46614.
