Norma Salmon Stewart January 8, 1930 ~ May 21, 2019 Ogden -Norma Salmon Stewart returned home to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 21, 2019. She was born in Coalville, Utah, on January 8, 1930, the first child of Earl Wilson Salmon and Blanche Lorane Nowling. Twenty months later, her sister and best friend Carla was born.

Norma attended elementary school in Coalville and moved to Ogden, graduating from Ogden High School in 1948. She also attended Weber State College. She worked as a bookkeeper for John Scowcroft’s, where she met her sweetheart and love of her life Keith Lyle Stewart.

They were married on March 28, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Norma worked for 18 years at the IRS. She also served in many church positions: President for Young Women and Relief Society, in the branch presidency as a service missionary and as an ordinance worker in the Ogden LDS Temple for 15 years.

Her interests included reading, counted cross stitching, puzzles, big band era music, and her annual trips to Jackson Hole Wyoming, and the Bar J Wranglers. She especially enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends on many trips including cruises and church history tours. Mom is survived by her husband; three daughters: Sandra Stewart, Debbie (Wendell) Karr, and Pamela Byington; 13 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, a grandchild, many other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Foothills Ward, 1479 Cahoon St. Ogden. Friends may visit family Friday May 31, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

, and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Ogden.
