Obituary for Norma T. Zalar Norma T. Zalar, 82, of Delphos, passed away Monday evening, December 18, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Her Family…. She was born October 8, 1935 in Pensacola, Florida to the late Roy V. and Emma (Fox) Phillips.

On August 9, 1958 she married Edward J. Zalar. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Edward J. Zalar of Delphos; three sons, Mike (Donna) Zalar of N. Olmstead, David Zalar of Delphos and John (Cindy) Zalar of Pensacola, Florida Naval Base; three daughters, Teresa (Steve) Schmiedebusch of Ottawa, Mary Ann Bailey of Delphos and Beth (Dave) Justus of Huron; 20 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchild with 1 more on the way; and 2 step-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Roy “Bud” Phillips, Jr. Her Legacy….

Norma was a 1956 graduate of Mercy School of Nursing in Toledo. After 44 years of nursing, she retired from St. Rita’s Medical Center as an oncology nurse. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Norma was also a member of the Red Hat Society, Out of Towners Club (card club), the Third Order of Secular Franciscans and the St. John’s Health Ministries. Her Farewell Services. … Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 22 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev.

Daniel Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita’s Hospice or St. John’s Parish Foundation.
