Norman L. Campbell January 12, 1935 – March 04, 2019 Share this obituary Upload Photo| View/Sign Guest Book Norman L. Campbell, age 84, of Edwards, Missouri, passed away peacefully Monday, March 4, 2019 at the Sonshine Manor in Republic, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his father Don and mother Pauline Campbell as well as his brothers Stanley and Billy Campbell. He is survived by his wife Emma Campbell, his sister Barbara Benhams, a brother Jerry Campbell, seven children; David Campbell Sr, James Campbell, Daniel Campbell, Paul Campbell, Cathy Brock, Angela Anderson, and Bob Campbell, thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Norman Campbell was a veteran serving in the United States Army, and enjoyed many friendships with his American Legion family serving as their Missouri State Commander from 2001-2002. As his health deteriorated he kept his spirits up and tried to comfort others with his sense of humor about his condition often jokingly referring to himself as “Lt. Dan” a character in the Forrest Gump movie whom was also a bilateral leg amputee.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 8, 2019 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, Missouri. Military Rites and Interment will follow the funeral at 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 8th at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri.
