OBITUARY Norman Lee Hughes October 7, 1943 – December 14, 2018 Norman Lee Hughes, age 75, of Oxford, Alabama passed away on December 14, 2018. He was born in Montevallo, Alabama to J.D. and Mary Loraine Hughes. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

Norman spent his career as a truck driver working for Swift Trucking. He was a sharp dresser, kept an immaculate lawn, and loved his family above all. He will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Truman Hughes and Gordon Hughes; and sisters-in-law, Betty Durham and Sandra Largin; brothers-in-law, Byron Durham and Wendell Largin. Norman is survived by his wife, Helen Hoffman Hughes; stepson, Jack Hoffman; sister, Dot Lovejoy; nephews, Robert Durham (Tonya) and Barry Lovejoy, niece, Laura Jones (Rick); great-nieces, Alysa Durham and Emma Jones; and great-nephew, James Lee. His funeral service will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo).

Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM. Burial will be at Ryan Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.
