Norman P. Day, Jr. 57, of Lincoln passed away April 23, 2018. He was born March 23, 1961 in Lincoln and attended High School in Philadelphia, PA. He married Deborah Reiber in Beatrice on April 24, 1982 and they later divorced.

He worked construction, building bridges until his accident in 1992, leaving him a paraplegic. He moved to Lincoln shortly after the accident where he attained his CDL. He then owned and operated his own trucking company.

He competed for the United States in the… Read More » Paralympic Games in hockey, tennis and basketball. He loved his dogs, Jenny and service dog, Booster, attending his daughters, grandson, nieces and nephews school activities and achievements. He enjoyed Classic Rock, IMCA Dirt Track Racing, Harley’s, fishing, and woodworking.

Survivors include his daughter, Tabitha Day of Beatrice; grandson, Tristan Pohlman of Beatrice; four sisters, Mary Rhoden and Sherrie (Dale) Smid both of Lincoln; Cecelia Ackman of Seward and Carolyn Harris of Mahaska KS; one brother, David Day of Clearwater FL; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carrie Day and his parents, Norman P. Day, Sr. and Marie Kosmacek. Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice with Pastor Jon Palmquist officiating.

A memorial has been established to the family for future designation. No visitation. A guestbook for signatures will be available on Friday at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice from 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. www.
