Obituary for Norman Wayne Nichols Norman Wayne Nichols of Belleview, MO passed away Oct. 7, 2018 in Potosi, MO at the age of 83 years, 10 months, and 29 days. He was born Nov.

8, 1934 in Lurton, Arkansas, a son of the late Delbert and Ina Mae Rosamond Nichols. On June 11, 1954 he was united in marriage to Mary Lou Barton who preceded him in death on June 25, 2014. To this union was born six children; Deborah Eudy and husband Gary of Belleview, Christina Miller and husband Bill of Ironton, Terry Nichols and wife Tracy of Ironton, Phyllis Price of Belleview, Theresa Draper and husband David of Imperial, and Greg Nichols and wife Teresa of Broadway, NC.

Also surviving are three brothers; Herman and wife Verna of DeSoto, Lynn “Ronnie” and wife Angie of Desloge, and Arland and Wife Colleen of Belleview; 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Everett “Joe” and Harold Nichols and a son in law Tom Price. Norman was a member of the Belleview First Baptist Church, Tyro Lodge #12 AF and AM, and he helped organize the Belleview Fire Dept.

and served as Fire Chief for 35 years. He was a member of the Ozark Fire Fighters Assn. Norman retired in 1996 after working as a Master Mechanic for Hanna Mining and Moline Consumers.

He also worked for General Motors for several years. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 11 at 1 PM from Cole Family Funeral Home with Rev.

Frank Nash officiating. Interment will be in Caledonia Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Wednesday,Oct 10, from 5 to 8 PM with a Masonic Service at 7 PM.
