Norman Leroy Moore, 81, of Knottsville, died on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born October 19, 1937 in Smithdale, Pennsylvania to the late Morgan and Virginia Sholey Moore. He retired from NSA where he worked on the pot line.

Norman was also a U.S. Army veteran 101st Airborne. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, jogging, playing softball and was an avid western movie buff. He loved traveling to Hawaii and won the state championship weightlifting in bench press.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Morgan Moore, Charles Moore and Wayne Moore. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Ann Daugherty Moore; sons, Richard (Mary) Moore and Tony (Mary) Moore, both of Owensboro and Danny Moore of Newburgh, IN; daughter, Terry Moore, of Owensboro; grandchildren, Eric (Nikki) Moore, of Delaware, Tyler Moore and Zachary Moore, both of Owensboro, Matthew Moore and Ryan Moore, both of Newburgh, Megan Moore Kleisath of Washington state, Jennifer (Alex) Pendland, of Lexington, Amber Payne and Ashley (Steve) Glenn, both of Owensboro; great-grandchildren, Lyric Payne, Dekel Griffith, Eirlys Garrison, Dax Garrison, Gavin Glenn and Brody Glenn, all of Owensboro, Lyndon Payne, Noah Pendland and Logan Pendland, all of Lexington; sister, Jennifer (Tom) Abbott, of Texas; brother-in-law, Danny Daugherty of Owensboro, whom he loved like a brother; sister-in-law, Nelda Moore, of PA; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.

Entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday and after 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
