Norris B. Olson Kearney Resident Norris B. Olson, owner and broker of N.B. Olson Real Estate Company, 85, of Kearney passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at CHI Health-Good Samaritan Hospital. A private service with inurnment will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Kearney Area Animal Shelter.

Norris B. Olson was born on May 2, 1933 in Holdrege to Harry and Inez (Johnston) Olson. He attended Holdrege High School and graduated with the class of 1951. He worked for Coca-Cola Bottling Company, B & C Steel, Geer Company, Rushmore Homes, and he was part-owner of Town and Country Realty of Kearney and part-owner of Coldwell Banker of Kearney.

Norris and Jane Vohland married and to this union two children were born: Cheryl and Grant. Norris was a past deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Kearney, member of National Association of Realtors, Buffalo County Board of Realtors and Nebraska Board of Realtors, member of the Board of Directors for Holdrege Memorial Homes and presently a member of First United Methodist Church. Norris was sensitive, caring, enjoyed life and was a friend to many.

One of his favorite past times was the morning “coffee group” at south McDonalds. His children Cheryl and Grant, and his grandson, Taylor were central to his happiness. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jane Olson of Kearney; daughter, Cheryl Davis of Arizona; son, Grant Olson of Kearney; grandson, Taylor Davis and his wife, Jordyn of Arizona; along with many other relatives and friends.
