Norval Leon Boatman passed away in Oklahoma City on September 22, 2018. He was born to Andrew Norval and Pauline Boatman in Ryan, on April 20, 1942. There will be no services.

Leon attended schools in Duncan and Ryan and graduated from Ryan High School. He married Gila Belle “Susie” Young on October 14, 1961, in Wichita Falls, Texas. They had 3 children, Darsha, Kevin and Scott.

He enjoyed working on old cars and playing the guitar. He also enjoyed traveling to New Mexico. He loved spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.

Leon is survived by his wife of 56 years, Susie; children, Darsha and husband Jack Bishop, Kevin and wife Karen Boatman, and Scott Boatman; grandchildren, Natosha Matheny, Tiffany and husband Jimmy Bowen, Drew Boatman and Shalyn Adams, Jamin and wife Kaylee Bishop, Jared and wife Kaleigh Bishop, and Lindsey Olds; and great-grandchildren, Tylon Hamm, Eli Matheny, Kaleb Metheny, Easton Bowen, Jentry Bowen, Brynlie Boatman, Paisley Boatman, and Heidi Justus. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ann Wulz and Nina Shaddock; and brother-in-law, Glen Shaddock. Online condolences can be made to the family at www.
