Ola Wynell Davis Waites, age 89, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018. Ms Waites was one of nine children. She was a member at Dexter Baptist Church and sung there in the choir.

Later in life, she retired from Oxford Manufacturing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Ray Waites, Sr. Survivors include her son, Emmett Ray Waites, Jr. (Bonita), of Dexter; her daughter, Phyllis W. Walker (Ernie) of Dexter; grandsons, Chad E. Walker, of Knoxville, TN, and Christopher R. Walker (Melanie), of Dexter; granddaughters, Katie W. Lancaster (Matthew), of Dexter, and Heather W. Smith (Wes), of Dexter; step-granddaughters, Morgan Castleberry, of Columbus; great grandsons, Triston Walker, of Dexter, Durhem Walker, of Dexter, and Bo Smith, of Dexter; great granddaughter, Hadden Smith, of Dexter; and step-great granddaughters; Kenley Smith, of Dexter, and Ava Lancaster, of Dexter. Services for Ola Wynell Davis Waites will be held at Dexter Baptist Church, on Friday, November 23, 2018, at 3:00 PM.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM the same day, there at Dexter Baptist. The deacons of Dexter Baptist will be the active pallbearers. Family has requested to make your donations to the Parkinson’s Research.
