Obituary of Olga Pelizza MERIDEN – Olga Pelizza, 91, beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother was called to her eternal resting place on April 4, 2018. She entered this world on December 9, 1926 in Meriden, CT, born to Alexi and Elena Metelsky. After high school she attended Nursing school in Cambridge, Massachusetts where she earned her School of Nursing degree from Mt Auburn Hospital.

She spent the next 35 years as a Registered Nurse working in area hospitals as well as various Private Duty assignments. She finished her career working for the Visiting Nurses Association of Wallingford. Olga loved nursing and loved the opportunity the career gave her to help others.

Olga is survived by Joseph, her loving husband of 67 years. She is also survived by her children and Grandchildren: Mark & Cindy Pelizza of Plano, Texas and their daughters Lauren and Kelly; Peter Pelizza of Lodi, Wisconsin and his sons Justin and Joseph and daughter Valerie; and Dan Pelizza of North Waterloo, Maine and his daughters Jennifer and Nicole. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Most Holy Trinity Church, 84 North Colony St. in Wallingford on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow immediately at St John’s Cemetery also in Wallingford.
