Obituary for Olive E Trotta Olive Elnora Trotta, 89, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2018, at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare. She was born on December 21, 1928, in Utica, the daughter of Elmer and Helen (Bishop) Cook. Olive was a 1946 graduate of Proctor High School.

On June 30, 1951, she married Anthony Michael Trotta in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church. They enjoyed a blessed union of 62 years prior to his passing on May 27, 2014.

Anthony and Olive’s relationship was the cornerstone of the family’s strong foundation. They served not only as an example, but also as a refuge for the people around them. Olive was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.

She is survived by her children, Barbara (Craig) Francisco, Clark Mills, Marlene Braun, Camillus and Susan (Pat) Trotta, Syracuse; sister, Ella Beighley, Jamesville; grandchildren, Gina Trotta, Joyce Gauthier, Louis Trotta and Christianna Braun; and great grandchildren, Donald, Charlotte and Anthony and numerous nieces and nephews. Olive was predeceased by her son, Donald Trotta, son-in-law, Vincent Braun and daughter-in-law, Madelyne Trotta. In keeping with Olive’s wishes, there will be no funeral or public calling hours.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, September 15th at 1 p.m. at Tom Cavallo’s Restaurant, where her friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate her life.
