Onezimo “Ney” Diaz, 39 of Woodbridge, passed away on suddenly on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. Ney was a born and raised in Perth Amboy, before moving to Woodbridge. He was a member of the Iron Worker Union Local 11 (formerly Local 373) in Perth Amboy.

He was a hard working humble man, his love for life and people was demonstrated daily thru his actions. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He also loved serving his community as a licensed wrestling coach among other things including volunteer work.

He dedicated his life to his children and made a friend everywhere he went. He will be well known for his witty sense of humor and great advice. His vibrant personality, huge heart, and his passion for helping others will always be remembered.

Ney is survived by his beloved children Natalia and Nicholas Diaz; loving son of Isidro Diaz and Eladia De La Cruz; loving grandmother, Juana De La Cruz; loving brothers, Jose and his wife Belinda De La Cruz, Francisco and his wife Eridania Diaz, Arnaldo and his wife Miryam Diaz and dear sister Denisses Diaz Arias and her husband Willy Arias; devoted companion, Jessica Cervone, adored mother of his children Amie Sardella; cherished nephew of many aunts and uncles. We will begin to leave on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 9:15 am from the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy, for a Funeral Mass at 10 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Interment will follow at Alpine Cemetery.

Visiting is on Monday from 2 ~ 4 & 7 ~ 9 pm. .
