Oscar “Brock” Shafer, age 80, of Lilburn, GA, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 8, 2018, surrounded by family. Brock was born January 25, 1938 to Henry H. Shafer and Ruby (Johnson) Shafer. He married Sandra Pursell in November of 1958.

Brock was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Harry, James & an infant boy. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sandra, and his son, Bruce, both of Lilburn; his daughter, Beth Orr (Mike) and his grandsons, Brock and Brandon, all of Onslow, Iowa. He is also survived by his brothers, Charles, Thomas (Janelle), Mark (Peggy) and Ray; and his sisters, JoAnn Shafer, Irene Shafer (Rick Bowie), Nancy Williams (Tim) and Rose Rogers (Jan).

Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, December 13, with a visitation immediately before from 11:00 am 12:00 pm, at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Hill Rd, Duluth, GA. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 12th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, 6101 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA.
