Obituary for Pastor Pat DuBois Pastor Pat DuBois celebrated his first birthday in Heaven on Friday, April 13, 2018. He was born on June 30, 1950, at Fort Polk, Louisiana, where his father was stationed in the Army. Patrick graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1969.

He and his wife, Shelley, were married in 1975. He served in the United States Air Force for four years and then attended Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Education with an endorsement in Special Education. After that, the couple returned to Texas, where he taught in private and public settings.

A beautiful son, Eric, was born to them in 1986. In 1991 he received his Bachelor’s in Theology from International Bible College and he was ordained in 1992. He and his wife have served in ministry since that time.

He founded Leon Valley Community Church, formerly Horizon Church. He was honored to serve as chaplain for the Leon Valley Fire Department. Pastor Pat had a passion for people and a desire for them to have God’s best in this life.

He was an encouragement to everyone he met and a reflection of true love and acceptance. He taught us that God’s Word and his promises are true and are available to us today. He believed it so much that he was moved to author a book, A Pilgrims’s Journey…Towards God’s Success In Life.

It’s the Word, it’s the Word, it’s the Word. He loved life…. God, family, church family, country, and Harleys.

His parents, Bill and Elsie DuBois and his brother, Bill, Jr. preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Shelley; his sons, Eric and his wife, Bianca of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Aaron and his wife, Heather of California and Michael Pollard and his wife, Allyson of New Braunfels, Texas; 2 grandchildren, Eric, Jr. and Ella; his brother, Michael and his wife, Denise of Salina, Kansas. SERVICES A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North, 3401 Cherry Ridge Drive.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Pastor Pat’s memory be made to the Leon Valley Fire Department for their Community Outreach programs.
