Carolyn Patricia “Pat” Jacobs, 93, passed away on October 31, 2018. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Jacobs; her daughter Willa Jacobs Shaffer and son Stewart Jacobs; her brothers John, Bob, Jim and GW “Bill” Everly and her sister, Audrey Clark, and her first husband, Bill Spaulding. Born Carolyn Patricia Everly, daughter of Thomas and Florence (Beadles) Everly in Canton, Illinois on January 15, 1925, Pat enjoyed a long and active life.

Over their 62-year marriage, Pat & Dick lived in many places as her five children grew up and then started families of their own. Pat delighted in her children and grandchildren, staying actively involved in their lives. Pat and Dick settled in St. Louis in retirement, where Pat remained an active in golfer and bridge player with her large network of friends.

Pat was known for her amazing baked goods which she lovingly shared with friends and family. Her pies were the highlight of every family gathering. Throughout her life, she was known to everyone who knew her as friendly, kind, full of grace and style and always quick to laugh.

The last 9 years have been spent near daughter Barb in Overland Park, Kansas making new friends at Park Meadows. Surviving her are her daughters, Barb (Jeff) Murphy, Cindy (Chuck) Barkman, Pam (Al) Sundberg, her niece Lisé Everly, 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, November 24th at 2:00 at Atonement Lutheran Church, 9948 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66212.
