OBITUARY Patricia Ann Counts August 2, 1934 – November 14, 2018 Patricia Ann Mobley Counts, of Decatur, Alabama passed away on November 14th, 2018 at the age of 84. Her visitation will be on November 16th at noon at the Roselawn Funeral Home with a private family burial immediately following thereafter at the Roselawn Cemetery. Her funeral will be officiated by Jess Montegudo of First Bible Church.

Patricia is survived by her children, Penny Counts Groux of Orange Beach married to Karl C. Groux with two children, Jennifer and Jessica and Thomas Glenn Counts, Jr. of Decatur married to Suzanne Clark Counts with two children, Grace and Olivia. Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Glenn Counts of Decatur. Patricia was born in Pulaski, Tennessee and went on to secretarial college in Nashville.

From there she found employment with Wolverine Tube where she met the love of her life, Tommy Counts and established a home in Decatur. She left Wolverine so together she and Tommy could raise two children and she could become a homemaker. She found personal enjoyment in anything related to her children.

She was a den mother, a school nurse, president of the local Garden Club, played piano, and amazingly, knew Latin quite well. Beyond her family. two things she loved voraciously were reading and following the stock market.

She had a penchant for “choosing well”. Pallbearers include Hugh Hillhouse, Tommy Siniard, Jim King, John Tucker, Richard Aoun and Hayden Radcliff. Memorial gifts may be made to the Alliance Cancer Care Center in Decatur, AL.
