Obituary for Patricia Ann Kennedy (O’Reilly) Patricia Ann (O’Reilly) Kennedy passed away on Saturday, Dec. 15th in her home in Meriden, CT, surrounded by family, including many of her 22 adoring grandchildren, after a battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Thomas M. Kennedy, MD.

Patricia was born in Brockton, MA on Oct. 10, 1932, to the late Helen and Thomas O’Reilly. She graduated from Emmanuel College in 1956 with a BA in English.

She is preceded in death by her son, Thomas, Jr. In addition to raising 8 children, Patricia taught CCD, middle school, and ESL for many years in the Meriden parochial & public school systems and was an active member of the Meriden community for over 60 years, especially through choral singing and adult learning (CCALC). Besides her husband, Thomas, Patricia is survived by her two brothers, Thomas G. and James O’Reilly; her sister, Mary McManus; her three sons, Brian and his wife Sara, Michael and his wife Grazyna and Daniel and his wife Kellie; her five daughters, Maura and her husband Kevin Staudinger, Teresa and her husband Michael Gagnon, Peggy and her husband Mark Benjamin, Katherine and her husband Mark Curtin and Gail Kennedy, the widow of Thomas Jr. Patricia is also survived by many nieces and nephews, 22 grandchildren, and a number of loving relatives and close friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Friday, Dec.

21st at 11 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 35 Center St, Meriden. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Friends and relatives may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, on Thursday, Dec.

20th from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date.
