Obituary for Lesley Chidekel (Sorman) Lesley Chidekel, 88, died on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Midstate Medical Center. Born in New York on February 25, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Irving and Hilda (Wallach) Sorman. Mrs. Chidekel was a teacher in the Meriden school system and was subsequently employed by J.C. Penny in the accounting department.

She was an active and high-ranking member of Temple B’nai Abraham. She is survived by her son David Chidekel and his wife Elizabeth, her grandson Cole Chidekel and her sister Arlene Sorman. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 1 p.m. at B’nai Abraham Cemetery, 114 Corrigan Ave, Meriden with Rabbi Michael Kohn officiating.

There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, CT 06450.
