Patricia Carr Tansill Cramer, known as Tricia, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2018 with her husband, Chris, by her side at their home in Fish Creek. Tricia and Chris were married in 1982. They first met at the wedding reception of close friends who had been prodding them to meet.

Tricia was born in New York to her parents, Margaret Patricia (Carr) Tansill and Joseph Elwood Tansill, who have preceded her in death. Besides her husband, Chris, Tricia is survived by their son, Nicholas; siblings, Margaret MacFarlane, Peter (Sheila) Tansill, Liz (Jack) McGrath, Joe (Karen) Tansill, and Paul (Whitney) Tansill; mother-in-law, Corli Cramer; sister-in-law, Randi Cramer; brother-in-law, Jack Cramer; and thirteen nieces and nephews. Tricia spent most of her early years living in Mount Prospect, IL.

She attended Denver University and graduated from Loyola University (Chicago) while also studying in Europe. She worked as a fine art dealer and public relations consultant in Chicago and Los Angeles. In 1997, Tricia and her husband started a real estate brokerage firm focusing on real estate in Door County, Wisconsin.

In Door County, Tricia was active in various organizations including the Church of the Atonement, PEO, The Ridges Sanctuary, Gibraltar Historical Society, Ephraim Business Council, and Children’s Day in Ephraim, which she helped start. Her death was due to glioblastoma multiforme (4th stage brain cancer) that was first diagnosed in August 2014. The family would like to thank the neuro-oncology team headed by Dr. Ryan Merrell, the neurosurgery team led by Dr. Julian Bailes, and the many nurses and technicians at NorthShore University HealthSystem’s Evanston Hospital; the staff at Door County Medical Center and its Fish Creek clinic; various therapists in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Florida; and Unity Hospice based in Green Bay, WI.
