Mrs. Patricia Dawn Cox Hobson, 65, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. She was born in Forsyth Co. on July 7, 1953 the daughter of the late Raymond and Verlie Cox. Mrs. Hobson was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church.

She worked her entire life serving others, working in childcare at First Baptist Church of Winston-Salem and later for Rescare Adult Care. She was a loving wife mother and grandmother, who gave so much more than she ever received. Mrs. Hobson enjoyed playing tennis and softball.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jerry Hobson of the home; a daughter, Kimberly Hobson of Rural Hall; a son, Jason Hobson of Wilmington; and three grandchildren, Ashton Sheppard, Chase Bolen and Kierston Hobson. She is also survived by her special companion, “Little Blue”. A visitation celebrating Dawn’s life will be held 3:00-5:00 Saturday afternoon, March 16, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
