Patricia Fazio (Pat), 74, of Weymouth passed away peacefully on December 24th, 2018. She leaves behind her life partner, sidekick and best friend of 48 years, Barbara Stier of Weymouth, her loving extended family, Marlene Bernhardt, Karl Stier, Donna Murdock, Caitlin Stier, Kristin Stier, Rachel Bernhardt, Daniel Bernhardt and Cathy True. She is also survived by her brothers, Robert (Bobby) Fazio of Hull and Charles Fazio of St. Louis, MO.

Pat grew up on the beaches of Hull and loved the ocean. Many summer day trips were spent behind the wheel of her cherished Chrysler Newport convertible, exploring the scenic back roads of New Hampshire with Barb and the kids while singing along with nearly every song playing on the radio. Lake Winnipesaukee was a frequent family vacation destination and it could be said that Pat spent more time joyfully in the water than on dry land.

Not long after Pat and Barb met, they would go on to own and operate a number of small food service businesses, including the popular Bread Shop in Cohasset Village. They were rarely apart and an unstoppable force of nature when together. Pat was an animated storyteller and made friends easily.

She called everyone “darling” and answered the phone with a bright “Yello! ” Pat had an enormous heart and laugh to go along with it. She will warmly be remembered as a lover of all animals, great and small.

Her first love was horses, but she would open her home to several very fortunate dogs and cats who would be showered with love and affection like a grandchild. No phone call would ever end before she asked a family member to say hello to a pet, and she truly meant it from the heart. A lasting legacy of Pat’s will be her passion for Italian cooking.

This would have an enormous impact on not only how generations of her family would go on to cook, but would instill within them an enduring love of the process and the invaluable communal time spent with loved ones around the table. Pat was never more comfortable than when she was at home with her family, cooking chicken cutlets for dinner, watching her beloved Bruins or Patriots, playing a game of cards at the kitchen table or just trading old stories and sharing a few raucous laughs, laughs that her family will forever cherish and take with them. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends for she brought so much flavor and joy into their lives.

There will be no public service or memorial. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that if you wish to honor Pat’s life, you can make a donation in her name to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, www. mspca.org.
