Patricia (Pat) L. Eich, age 78, of Alexandria, went to rest Monday, April 30, 2018, at the Galleon Senior Living in Osakis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Greg Paffel officiating with Deacon Mark Stenger concelebrating.

A private family inurnment will take place at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL, at a later date. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria and one hour prior to the service at the church. A rosary will be said at 5 p.m. and parish prayers at 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Patricia Louise Strauch was born on June 28, 1939 to George and Evelyn (Finnigan) Strauch in Vergas, Minnesota. Her career consisted of serving others as a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed with expertise in beautifying her home with her flower gardening.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gerald and James; stepson, David Eich; and nieces, nephews, and other beloved relatives. She is survived by her husband, the love of her life, Donald J. Eich; brothers, Stanley (Karen), Claude (Mary Ann) and Thomas Strauch; sisters, Joan Lorang, Kathleen (Fred) DeWeese, Rebecca Way (Stanley Zupnik), Mary Sue (Edward) Biggins, Corrine Hayden, Priscilla (Mark) Hovland, Theresa Lake; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Serving as casket bearers will be Matthew Manthey, Christine Strauch, Diane Lorang, Adam Lake, Denise Bliss, Michelle Strauch.

Serving as cross bearer will be Joseph Manthey and scripture bearer will be Emily Manthey. A warm, heartfelt thank you from the “Fragile Flower” to all the doctors, nurses and caretakers that were a part Pat’s care over the years. In lieu of flowers memorial preferred in Pat’s memory to Susan G. Komen for the Cure or to Hospice of Douglas County.
