Obituary for Patricia Jo Brashear Patricia Jo Brashear, 74 of Raymondville, TX, entered into rest Friday, April 6, 2018 in Austin, Texas. She was born on January 2, 1944 in Mission Texas, daughter of Joseph Ashton and Beatrice (Gonzales) Simon. Patricia worked as a teacher in the Texas school system for fifty years, working in Raymondville, San Perlita, Harlingen and Edinburg.

She was also a member of the Red Hat Society; served as President of the Delta Kappa Gamma Soriety two times as well as serving in other positions. She served in numerous offices in the local unit of ATPE and was a member of the Raymondville Art League. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Brashear and is survived by her son, Cedric Brashear; daughter, Chrystl Grebo, Honorary son, Matthew Allen Tijerina; brothers, Henry Simon and John Simon.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 10 at Duddlesten Funeral Home, Raymondville, TX. Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church, 192 S. 3rd, Raymondville on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. Interment will follow in the Raymondville Memorial Cemetery, Raymondville, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Duddlesten Funeral Home, 604 W. Hidalgo Ave.
