OBITUARY Patricia Madgett April 29, 1930 – November 16, 2018 Patricia Kay Madgett, 88, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at Kansas City Hospice House. Patricia was born on April 28, 1930, in St. Joseph, MO. She graduated from St. Joseph Central High School and was a 1951 graduate of St. Luke’s Hospital as a medical technologist.

She attended St. Joseph Junior College and William Jewell. She worked in private practice and later for 20 years at Raytown Clinic. Pat enjoyed teaching Sunday school, being a Campfire Girls Leader, Cub Scout Den Mother, and serving on Alter Guild for many years in her Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Byron and Fern Kennedy of St. Joseph, MO; husband of 66 years, John Madgett; sister, Sandra Mosley, Mountain View, AR. Survivors include her children, Gretchen Thurman (Bill), Cathy Young (Terry), and Mike Madgett (Margot); grandchildren, Megan Hutchin, Sarah Robbins, Tyler Young, Rachel Talkington, Kennedy and Nicholas Madgett; great-grandchildren, Cole, Landon, and Delaney Francis, Henry Robbins, Emma and Ellie Hutchin, Evelyn, Reid, and Norah Talkington, and Max and Isaac Young. Memorial Services will be held at St. Matthews Episcopal Church on Monday, November 19, 2018, visitation at 1:00 PM with services to follow at 2:00 PM.

Committal will take place at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133.
