Patricia Marie Wagenknecht, passed away during the early hours of May 4, 2018 at the age of 86. She was born March 4, 1932 in Sunnyside Washington to Lyman Wilfred and Elnora Vogel. She grew up in Milwaukie, outside of Portland, Oregon, where she attended Milwaukie High School, and it is here she met her future husband, John Wagenknecht.

While dating in high school, Pat was a cheerleader and John was a member of the football team. As they married on December 1, 1950, John and Pat began a wondrous life together full of faith, hope and love. In raising a family of four children, Brad, Karen, Steven and Susan, the family moved to Napa in 1960 where Pat taught in the Napa Unified School District for over 20 years.

In addition, she was an active member of 4 H, and along with John, she served in many programs such as, Marriage Encounter, Elder Hostile tours and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Napa for over 50 years. As she adored the company of people, Pat enjoyed family get togethers, vacations and lively conversation. Pat is predeceased by her husband, John Wagenknecht, sister, Kay Rogers, and brother, Lyman Wilfred Vogel Jr

She is survived by her brother, Gary (Lacy) Vogel, sister –in-law, Maxine Collins, brother –in-law Mark (Valerie)Wagenknecht and her children, Brad (Kathy)Wagenknecht, Karen (John) Albrecht, Steven (Valerie) Wagenknecht, Susan (John) Ceballos; her grandchildren, Gretchen (Phil)Whipple, Shannon (Michael) Ceballos-Pettigrew, Jonathan (Angela) Ceballos, Fritz Wagenknecht, Max Wagenknecht, Gregory Ballinger, Matthew Ballinger, Eric Horwitz and Alex Horwitz; her great-grandchildren, Xavier Whipple and Kaylee Ceballos-Pettigrew. A celebration of life will be held on Monday May 14, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 1333 Randolph Street, Napa Ca. 94559.
