Obituary of Patricia Townes Patricia Kaye Townes, of Sterling VA passed away September 9, 2018 at her home in Sterling. “Mama Pat” as many knew her was the daughter of Captain John and Mary Townes US Navy Retired. She was born December 13, 1952 in a pink hospital in Hawaii while her parents were stationed there.

Pat was a fun-loving person who had a heart of gold. She was a special person, and there was always a connection to anyone who came into contact with her. Friends say that she made them feel loved right away when they met her.

Pat loved to be around people she loved a good get together and was always the one to say “I have the paper products” if there was going to be one. She was always there for you and was always a part of your life. She was lucky to have traveled quite a few times in her life.

Her most recent travels were to Australia to which she very quickly found a special place in her heart. She was lucky enough to have gone twice and she always wanted to go back not only for the beautiful country or her Aussie Babies but also the friends she had made half way around the world. for over 25 years, she loved what she did and the people that she worked with. They were her family away from home. She always kept in touch with the people she worked with and liked to keep up with what was going on, not only about work but how her friends were doing in their lives.

She is survived by her son Michael (Christina) Townes Sr. VA, grand children Halie and Michael Townes Jr., Brother John (Nancy) Townes III TX, Sisters Marilyn (Jim) Woods CO, Barbara Townes VA and Mary Stewart (Neil) Neumann CO, and Father John Townes Jr as well as so many friends that she considered family. She is welcomed into heaven by her mother Mary Townes, and her beloved fur babies (Corky, and Doc). Family will receive guest at Adams Green Funeral Home 721 Elden Street, Herndon VA 20170 September 24, 2018 at 12pm with Services starting at 2pm.

Cry for a day then put on a smile and continue on with life as I will always be with you.
