Paul Ernest Spoehr passed away peacefully in his sleep early Monday morning, November 19, 2018. Paul was born in New Lexington, OH on March 15, 1924, one of two children of Rev. Ernest Spoehr and Florence Spoehr (Rarick).

Paul studied at Capital University and the University of Michigan, and earned his dental degree from the University of Detroit dental school. Paul served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army during WW II in Germany. Paul and Rhoda Spoehr (Senger) were married in 1957 at Peace Lutheran Church in Detroit, MI.

They settled in Grosse Pointe, MI, where Paul practiced dentistry for more than 25 years. Paul was preceded in death by Rhoda, and is survived by two sons, David Paul Spoehr of Grand Rapids and Philip Mark Spoehr of Deerfield, IL, and 5 grandchildren, Michael, Mark, Matthew, Alicia and Amanda. Funeral services will be held 10am on Friday in the Terraces at Samaritas 2000 32nd St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508.
