Obituary for Paul Brown Paul “Joe” J. Brown, 73, of Sutton, WV passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at the Genesis Health Care Nursing Home. He was born at Dille, WV on July 15, 1945 to the late Thomas Brown and Rosalee (James Brown). He was also preceded in death by his wife, Patsy (Johnson) Brown whom he married on August 16, 1969 and passed November 1, 1997.
Also preceding him in death was brothers, Franklin, Richard and Thomas Brown. He is survived by son, Jeff Brown, Amma, WV and Thomas Brown, Buckhannon, WV; daughters, Paula (Mike) Carpenter, Sutton, WV and Amanda Cultip, Sutton, WV; brothers, Tommie (Maria) Brown, Amma, WV and Bufford (Connie) Brown, Duck, WV; sisters, Nancy (Harry) Frame, Sutton, WV, Rachel (Charles) McClung, Dille, WV and Mary (Danny) Skidmore, Flatwoods, WV. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Victoria and Colton Carpenter and Ciera Gillespie and great granddaughter, Marissa Warner.
Mr. Brown served his Country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was an auto mechanic in the automotive industry. He enjoyed trading guns and hunting for deer. He was very particular and liked to keep his yard mowed and looking nice.
Family will receive friends on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV 26621 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Stockert-Paletti Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robey Godfrey officiating. Interment will follow in the Baughman Cemetery.
