Obituary for Paul W. Maulfair Sr. Paul W. Maulfair, Sr., 88, of Bethel Twp. , was welcomed into glory on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, where he received a new eternal body in place of his tired, well-worn earthly tent. He last resided at the home of his daughter in S. Annville Twp.
, where he was cared for by his family. He was the husband of the late Marion R. Funck Maulfair. Born in N. Londonderry Twp.
, on February 8, 1930, he was the son of the late Clarence L. and Stella Flocken Maulfair. Paul was the owner and operator of the family dairy farm in Bethel Twp. He was a member of the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, where he had served as the Trustee, administrative board member and was on the building committee.
Paul was a State and National member of the Holstein Association, a charter member of the N.L. Young Farmers, and for many years he volunteered at the Lebanon Area Fair. He especially enjoyed collecting antique farm equipment. He had been a 14-year member of the Grantville Fire Co. and served a year as their chief.
He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his sons Paul W., Jr. and his wife Faye Maulfair of Middletown, Bruce O. and his wife Cheryl Maulfair of Hamlin and Dale E. and his wife Pattie Maulfair of Jonestown; daughters Wonita J. wife of Jeffrey Werley of McNeal, AZ, Brenda L. wife of the late Bryan Crouse of Richland, Diane M. wife of Reid Hoover of Lebanon and Elaine K. wife of Steven Weidman of Lebanon; sister Geralene Flickinger of Palmyra; twenty one grandchildren; and thirty-five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson Dale E. Maulfair, Jr. and sister Grace Early.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, Rt. 343 and Shirksville Rd. , Fredericksburg.
The viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd. , Jonestown, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
